TAO’s 42nd annual Oregon Tech Awards will honor innovators shaping the region’s technology industry

PORTLAND, OR — The Technology Association of Oregon (TAO) has announced that nominations are now open for the 2026 Oregon Technology Awards, an annual celebration of innovation, leadership, and excellence across Oregon’s thriving technology ecosystem. Now in its 42nd year, this flagship event recognizes the region’s most impactful companies, rising stars, and the educators and students helping shape the future of technology.

The 2026 Oregon Technology Awards will take place on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the Hilton Downtown Portland, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and community members for an evening dedicated to celebrating the companies and individuals driving Oregon’s technology sector forward.

This year’s event will be held in downtown Portland as part of TAO’s commitment to supporting the continued revitalization of the city’s urban core and bringing the technology community together in the heart of Oregon’s largest innovation hub.

“Portland’s technology community has always played an important role in the vitality of our downtown,” said Skip Newberry, President and CEO of TAO. “Hosting the Oregon Technology Awards at the Hilton Downtown Portland allows us to celebrate the incredible achievements of our industry while also supporting the ongoing momentum to bring energy, business, and community back to the city center.”

Finalists and winners will be selected across eight company categories spanning startups to enterprise organizations, along with special honors recognizing breakthrough innovation and the next generation of technology leaders.

• Rising Star ($3M–$9.99M)
• Accelerate ($10M–$19.99M)
• Growth ($20M–$49.99M)
• Momentum ($50M–$99.99M)
• Enterprise ($100M+)
• Most Disruptive
• Technology Teacher of the Year (3)
• Technology Student of the Year (2)

The evening will feature a welcome reception, dinner and awards ceremony, and an after-party with music, drinks, and networking opportunities with leaders from across Oregon’s technology sector.
