Job Summary Trunknode is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Front-End Engineer to join our innovative, early-stage team. In this critical role, you’ll help define and craft the user experiences that bring our platform to life. You will lead the development of sophisticated, high-performance front-end solutions, translating design vision into elegant, scalable, and responsive interfaces. You’ll collaborate closely with design, product, and backend engineering teams to create seamless user interactions, influence architectural decisions, and contribute to building a modern design system. Responsibilities Lead the design and development of high-quality, reusable, and scalable UI components using modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React) Collaborate closely with product and design to transform wireframes and prototypes into robust, responsive web experiences Optimize applications for speed, accessibility, SEO, and cross-browser compatibility Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and drive best practices through code reviews and mentorship Architect and implement design systems and component libraries to ensure UI/UX consistency across products Debug, profile, and resolve complex front-end issues efficiently Stay ahead of front-end trends, emerging technologies, and propose improvements to enhance user experience and development workflows Integrate front-end components seamlessly with RESTful APIs and backend services Advocate for user-centered design principles and pixel-perfect implementation of UI/UX designs Champion quality and maintain high standards through testing, performance monitoring, and optimization efforts

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience 5+ years of professional experience building modern, high-performance web applications Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular Solid understanding of responsive design principles, accessibility standards (WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs and backend services Strong skills in code quality, testing practices (unit, integration, e2e), and version control (e.g., Git) Demonstrated ability to contribute to software architecture and guide technical decisions Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills Experience collaborating in agile teams and mentoring other developers

Nice-to-Have Experience with TypeScript Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Understanding of backend fundamentals or full-stack development Knowledge of animation libraries, modern component libraries, or design system implementation Experience with performance profiling tools and strategies for optimizing front-end applications
