Google

Google has proudly called the state of Oregon home for over 15 years. Google opened its very first data center complex in the world in The Dalles, Oregon in 2006. We have since expanded our operations in The Dalles, while opening a new office in Portland in 2010. Data centers are what keep the Internet up and running. Our employees at The Dalles data center work to keep Google Search, Gmail, YouTube, and many other Google applications operational, enabling Google to provide fast and reliable services around the clock to millions of people. Meanwhile Googlers in our Portland office work on a variety of our platforms including Chrome and Nest. While working and living in Oregon, Googlers have worked hard to give back to their communities by supporting our local school districts, small businesses and nonprofits working to serve the most vulnerable in our community. Just recently Google donated over $5million in partnership with Craft3 to support BIPOC owned small businesses.
