The Cube Demo Day

Join us for the inaugural Demo Day of The Cube – An Incubator managed by the PSU Center for Entrepreneurship.

This event will feature four amazing founders who have persevered through a turbulent year and have gained significant market traction throughout 2020. Several of these companies are investment-ready and are opening a round of financing. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in sampling from the safety of their own home to create a dynamic and engaging experience! After the pitches, attendees have the opportunity to learn more about the founders and ask questions in an intimate break-out session facilitated by seasoned fund managers and investors. Additional appearances will be made by two cohort founders, Alex Dassise and Jesse Harding, and remarks by Angela Jackson, from Portland Seed Fund and Executive Director of Industry & Entrepreneurial Engagement at PSU!

We will have four live pitches with founders who have gained significant market validation and customer traction in 2020. There will be two tech-focused companies and two consumer-facing companies presenting:

Produce Mate with Dagan Kay: Produce Mate is the world’s first antimicrobial silicone kitchen mat that extends the shelf life of your fruits and vegetables. Simply place one on the counter top or in the crisper drawer of your refrigerator, store produce on top, and Produce Mate will handle the rest! Produce Mate has won several awards and competitions in the PNW, and recently started a partnership within B/S/H Start Up Kitchen to integrate directly into smart kitchen appliances.

Woppa with German Ochoa: Go North Imports aims to diversify the snack aisle with better infusion of South American flavors. His first product, Woppa Alfajores, brings a new product to the US market that has been popular for years in South America. German and his team have gained significant traction & acceptance in the PNW retail space including partnerships with Albertson to launch in Safeway and Market of Choice.

Radem with Omar Waked: Theory Parking saves time, energy, and money by elevating the need to look for a parking spot. Using sensors installed at each parking spot Theory Parking will collect data in real-time and deliver it via a simple, easy to use mobile application that will then guide the user to an open and available parking spot. Through machine learning, Theory Parking will predict when spots will be occupied, the duration of occupancy, and estimate the timeframe when new locations become available.

Turner Automotive with Blake Turner: Turner Automotive wants to turn an old Honda into a zero-carbon, hydrogen-powered machine. The startup, which placed first in PSU’s 2019 Cleantech Challenge and second in the 2019 Invent Oregon Collegiate Challenge, has come up with a conversion kit that can transform a gas-powered engine to one that runs on hydrogen, a clean-burning fuel that emits droplets of water instead of carbon dioxide.

The first 100 attendees will receive complimentary samples for an interactive experience with the founders. Please be sure to fill in the shipping information if you want a mailer delivered to your home. Click here to get your FREE tickets today!

The event is finished.
