Tech Exec Auction to Benefit STEM Education Programs

Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education plays a key role in the sustained growth and stability of the economy and is a critical component to the future success of Oregon and Southwest Washington technology industry. STEM education creates critical thinkers, increases science literacy, and enables the next generation of innovators.

During the month of September, Technology Association of Oregon is featuring a series of blog posts, podcasts, and initiatives focused on the importance of supporting talent development to the technology industry in Oregon and Southwest Washington.

This week we are excited to announce our first annual Tech Exec Online Auction to benefit the work of STEM education programs Innovate Oregon, iUrbanTeen, Oregon Robotics, and Portland YouthBuilders.

“Modeled after similar efforts in other markets, our Tech Exec Auction is a fun way to combine valuable business connections with lending support to STEM education programs that, ultimately, benefit the tech sector in our region,” says Skip Newberry, President and CEO, of the Technology Association of Oregon

From Monday, September 19th at 7 am through Thursday, September 22nd at 5 pm individuals and companies will have the opportunity to bid on Tech Exec experiences, as well as wine and hotel stays, through the Online Auction Portal.
