TAO, NobleHour & Impact NW Team Up to Make an Impact

Impact Kits Skip and daughter

A new partnership between the Technology Association of Oregon and NobleHour has been created to empower tech companies to connect with nonprofits and charities throughout Oregon. As part of the TAO and NobleHour partnership, all TAO member companies are invited to participate in our Volunteer Challenge; a year-long goal of making a measurable impact in volunteerism throughout the region.

One of the first “acts” of this partnership is to support Impact NW, an organization that serves 25,000 people a year with homelessness prevention services. Part of their program includes the creation of “Impact Kits,” basic hygiene and personal care kits to be assembled and distributed to individuals living on the streets on Veterans Day.

NobleHour, TAO, and Impact NW are calling on TAO affiliates and other businesses in the area to get involved in the “Impact Kits” event, hoping to create 500+ kits for Portland-area homeless veterans. Want to get involved? Here are just a couple ideas:

  • Set up a donation box in your office for basic hygiene and personal items

  • Set aside time for staff to create the kits

  • Reach out to fellow businesses to ask for sponsorships

  • Plan to distribute Impact Kits on Veteran’s Day, Monday, Nov. 11
