CEOIn which city (or cities) is your company located?Portland, Oregon and NYC, New YorkIn what year was your company founded?Rookie Road, Inc. was founded in 2014.Describe the company you work for and its product/mission.Rookie Road is a one-of-a-kind digital sports destination that provides the rules, lingo, and gameplay for all sports around the world. We create and distribute unique and high-quality content to help people learn a new sport from A to Z or answer a question about any particular sport. Why is your company a member of TAO?As a technology company headquartered in Oregon, being a part of the TAO community allows us to collaborate and interact with so many wonderful and innovative organizations. As a member, we find interesting ways to contribute to the technology ecosystem in Oregon. TAO has also provided our company with great resources for helping find talent, engagement with government and civic leaders, as well as opportunities to create positive change in our community. What do you, personally, like best about being a TAO member? I love the warm, close-knit community feel that TAO has established. TAO is a central organization for the technology community and is good at bringing like-minded people together from all different backgrounds for a common goal. The TAO team is supportive of every size company and always looks to find ways to be helpful and impactful.What’s your favorite thing about our region’s tech ecosystem?Oregon has a powerful technology ecosystem with significant resources. My favorite part about the community is that it maintains a close-knit feeling and encourages collaboration. What is your hope for the future of tech in Oregon & SW Washington? I hope that the community continues to attract new entrepreneurs and innovators to build upon the strong foundation the city and community already have in place. I hope to see continued collaboration among organizations and companies as new technologies are built to make our city even better. In the coming years, I hope Oregon is known even more as a central destination/hub for innovative technology and at the same time continues to be known for being an amazing place to live with an excellent quality of life and great people.
