Why is your company a member of TAO?
As a company founded and headquartered in Oregon, we want to see our tech community flourish in Oregon and beyond.  TAO has been a key partner for SheerID to support our mission to build trust in a digital world, enable us to innovate faster, provide employee training, expand our talent pool and help us meet our goals to have a workplace that is diverse & inclusive.

The events! I love learning from others and exchanging ideas for making software teams and individuals more effective.

What’s your favorite thing about our region’s tech ecosystem?
The support our region provides. As a growing community, we value the expertise and experience we can tap into from tech leaders past and present. To that end, our region has a special knack for balancing the tech mindset and local culture in our businesses, educational systems, and communities in a way that puts people first. (oh, and the fishing!)

What is your hope for the future of tech in Oregon & SW Washington?
My hope is that our region rises to meet the global tech-talent training and diversity challenge. We can continue to cultivate our diverse talent and invest in K-12 digital literacy for underserved populations. Our dedication to the long-game and our spirit of compassion and goodwill will create a healthy and unprecedented workforce composition, setting us apart as a new kind of global tech hub.
