During this unprecedented time, Technology Association of Oregon will be featuring the benefits and value that TAO member companies can provide to our greater community in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Stanford Scriven and Michael Goetz of Newmark Knight Frank joined forces to detail how their firm can support landlords and tenants affected by COVID.

TAO Member Company: Newmark Knight Frank

Give us a short intro to your business:
We help local companies find workspace their employees will love, for an affordable price, and make the process simple and predictable.

What resources can your business offer the community during the COVID pandemic?:
This is an extremely hot topic in our industry.  We are consistently talking with Landlords/Tenants to update our data and provide new information as this evolves. We have created facilities best practices documents for dealing with COVID in the workplace that we are happy to share and have compiled a COVID-19 Tenant FAQ. If you have questions about your workspace lease, rent deferral/forgiveness, or how to approach your landlord, feel free to reach out!

We have also teamed up with DESIGN+BUILD to develop individualized reopening plans for companies unsure of how to get started. It’s an extremely complex issue, so we are doing our best to help companies get the groundwork laid so their employees can return to the workplace safely.

What is the best way for the community to get in touch?:
Just send us an email! sscriven@ngkf.com and michael.goetz@ngkf.com.

What’s your favorite way to pass the time during self-quarantine?:
Stanford: Goofing off with our kids and working in the yard!

Michael: Fun with the family, yard work, playing music and 5 o’clock (home) happy hour.

What’s one thing that helps you stay positive or gives you hope during difficult times?:
Michael: There is plenty of beauty in the world and this time gives you a chance to be thankful for what we have. Knowing that our community is strong.

Stanford: We have an incredible network of business and organizational leaders in Portland/Vancouver, and although these are difficult times, we will emerge stronger than ever.
