Position Summary:

NAVEX Global is hiring a Senior Security Analyst who will report to the Information Security Manager.  This individual will work with internal teams to identify, assess, and address information security risks, often taking a lead role in areas such as, but not limited to information security frameworks, security risk management, physical security, business continuity management, intrusion prevention and detection, maintaining a solid vulnerability management program, SIEM analysis and management of various security related projects.  Additional activities involve completing information security assessments and questionnaires, conducting incident investigations, discovery and reporting.

What You Will Do:

  • Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of all proprietary NAVEX Global customer data

  • Support the VP of Information Technology and Information Security Manager in leading the execution of strategy for technology platforms, partnerships and external relationships

  • Work collaboratively, with moderate supervision, to provide relevant input and feedback on the investigation and proposal of technologies and methodologies that can enhance NAVEX Global’s security and/or business continuity posture

  • Coordinate and ensure delivery of cross-department projects to ensure finding remediations and audit assessments are completed on time and to successful resolution

  • Execute activities in the areas of security risk identification, analysis, classification and mitigation strategies

  • Perform network and host vulnerability testing of infrastructure for verification of security measures

  • Monitor and respond to internal and external security incidents and attacks, performing system and network forensics to identify and eradicate threats

  • Analyze security alerts, incidents, requests and other events; identify root cause then determine and execute appropriate steps for resolution

  • Review, evaluate and assess internal requests to on-board new vendors and service providers

  • Assist with security audits, assessments and security questionnaires from NAVEX Global customers

  • Contribute to the creation and revision of information security policies and procedures

What You Will Need:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or a relevant discipline.  Professional certification such as CISSP, CCSP, CISA, CPP, ISSMP, ISSAP or CEH is highly desired

  • 5+ years of experience in an IT or technical role with 3+ years focused on IT Security

  • Demonstrated experience in information technology, including a strong, hands-on, technical background encompassing a broad knowledge of applications, networking, systems management, data center operations, security, web technologies and user support services

  • Strong knowledge of internet security, client/server, and network security systems such as firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems and vulnerability scanners

  • Demonstrated capability to identify and resolve information security issues, and proficiency with root cause analysis and incident response

  • Strong analytical abilities, critical thinking, and independent problem-solving and investigation skills

  • Skilled with change management, process improvement and project management.  You will need to have experience planning for the future, keeping abreast of new trends and technologies while managing day-to-day projects

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the policy and regulatory environment of information security

  • Ability to build consensus among different groups with competing demands

  • Commitment to detail, accuracy and end user experiences with exceptional organization skills and ability to manage multiple streams of work

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a commitment to engage and collaborate with people across a variety of levels with diverse backgrounds
