Technology Association of Oregon, ISSA, SecureWorks, Crowdstrike, and the University of Oregon hosted a virtual meet up on the security challenges and opportunities involved in transitioning a major research university to telecommuting in a matter of days.
There are two major areas of concern involved with this transition:
1) how do you harden services for remote work
2) how do you reorganize a security team to work remotely to identify and address new threats that emerge from a remote workforce.
This session provided insights into both based on real events.
