Women in the workforce emerged as a prominent issue in the 20th century. With leading women such as Sheryl Sandberg (COO of Facebook and author of Lean In) and Marissa Mayer (President and CEO of Yahoo!), women in tech has been gaining mentions in national press. In Portland, Janice Levenhagen-Seeley, Founder and Executive Director of ChickTech, aims to improve the number of women in technology with the mission of ChickTech. Sitting on TAO's Developer's Forum Committee and active in the Portland tech scene, I caught up with Janice to see what's shaking with ChickTech and what to expect in 2014.
As many already know - TAO has moved from our previous downtown location at the PDC to the Eastside Exchange Building. I've seen a lot of Portland tech office spaces as part of my networking - and pretty much all of them offer something special and unique with regards to a working environment.
