With Facebook's Former VP of HR: Beth Steinberg


Beth will talk about her experience at Facebook as VP of HR and the strategies and tactics she used to build an attractive culture and retain the talent that helped fuel Facebook’s explosive growth. She will share some stories about her time at Facebook and other leading technology companies and will talk about some roles that a CEO/Founder can play in helping to build a great team and market corporate culture in support of recruitment efforts.

Meet the Presenter:

BETH STEINBERG

Beth Steinberg has over 18 years of human resource experience in both emerging and Fortune 500 companies. Beth’s focus has been on helping leaders and companies with complex organizational and growth issues. Her passions include re-vamping the way companies use and view performance management. Beth is currently the Vice President of HR at Sunrun, a solar energy start up based in San Francisco, CA. Her previous work includes consulting for Maveron Venture Capital, Mozilla, SeaChange Capital, The Motley Fool, The New Teacher Center, Lynda.com, and other emerging non-profits and technology companies. Beth has held numerous Human Resource Executive positions including the VP of HR at Facebook and Vice President of Human Resources at Electronic Arts. Beth has also held HR positions at Nike, Hewlett Packard and Nordstrom. Beth has her BA in Psychology from San Jose State University and attended the Executive Program at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. Beth is very involved with the non-profit community, focusing on venture philanthropy, environmental and education issues. Beth is on the Board of Trustees at Hidden Villa as well as on the Board of Social Venture Partners International. Beth also sits on the Advisory Board of Rypple (just acquired by Salesforce.com) and of Puppet Labs. In her spare time, Beth is an avid runner and triathlete. She has completed 15 marathons and the Ironman Triathlon.
