Tim literally wrote the book on ransomware and defending against digital extortion. Tim has been working in IT security since 1999, but he’s also been a bouncer, a bartender, and a physicist. He loves finding new ways to do things, in particular by breaking them. Tim will be sharing tales from the front lines of international incident response and intel breaches.

He is a proven technology leader with over 30 years’ experience in building and leading high-performance teams from the US Navy to local start-ups to fortune 50 high-tech to fintech. He believes that the role of the technology teams is to enable a business to grow and prosper.

Chelsea is the Information Security Officer for SELCO Community Credit Union, headquartered in Eugene, Oregon, where she oversees an Information Security Program (ISP) covering 15 branches, 400 employees and 1.6 billion dollars in assets. Career positions with the USAF and the NSA, as well as experience in penetration testing, incident response, policy authoring, and risk assessment execution has lead her to a distilled core belief that effective administration of an information security program is more than eye-watering artificial intelligence algorithms and a pool of ‘cyber brawn’ rich staff -- Essential bunkmates to these facets of ISP management include possessing a 'slow is fast' mentality (!), passion for the job, and the ability to achieve successful strategic influence from a position of low-to-no direct ownership.

Jessa is the Information Security Supervisor for OCCU, headquartered in Eugene, OR, where she manages Information Security for OCCU’s nearly 400 employees and 165,000 members. Her team focuses on implementing appropriate industry measures to limit the risk of loss of member information and organizational data and manages intrusion detection and prevention systems. Jessa specializes in vulnerability management, data loss prevention and security awareness training. Her department is also tasked with formalized risk assessments and creating and maintaining information security standards and policies. Her dedication to keeping member and employee data safe is deeply rooted and spans 8 years, 5 being at OCCU, She is a proven leader, team mentor and avid video game streamer with strong investigative and advocacy skills.
